Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre golf together for Team NFL at Baha Mar Showdown in Bahamas
Two Green Bay Packers quarterback greats golfing together in the Bahamas? Of course, that’s going to show up on Instagram, along with grandsons and girlfriends.
Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre each shared photos from this weekend’s Baha Mar Showdown at Royal Blue Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas. It’s the second year for the celebrity golf tournament hosted by Rodgers and Chris Paul, in which eight NBA stars compete against eight NFL stars in match play.
In addition to Rodgers and Favre, Team NFL also included Larry Fitzgerald, Patrick Peterson, Adam Thielen, Josh Scobee, Pat McAfee and Kyle Williams. Team NBA was made up of Paul, Ray Allen, Deron Williams, JR Smith, Mike Conley, Scottie Pippen, Dell Curry and Tyler Johnson.
Donations were made to each player’s foundation or charity of choice.
Baha Mar, a luxury resort complex with 2 miles of white sand beaches and the largest casino in the Caribbean, posted a lightning round of questions with Rodgers poolside before the tournament.
A sampling of questions:
Favorite football player growing up? "Steve Young."
One word to describe your golf game? "Inconsistent."
Pool, casino or golf course. Where can we find you? "Beach."
If a "Game of Thrones" character could golf, who would you choose to be on Team NFL? "John Snow, because he’s clutch. He comes through under pressure."
Any advice for kids who want to grow up and become professional athletes? "Do your homework. If you don’t do well in school, your opportunities shrink."
Rodgers’ girlfriend Danica Patrick also posted a photo from the Bahamas with Rodgers and others.
